Spotted gum deck replacement in Frenchs Forest

This deck in Frenchs Forest had gone soft and was past fixing board by board. Once the old boards were up, the joists underneath were rotten too, along with some of the balustrade posts. We replaced the framing with new 140x45 joists and painted them white, then relaid about 24 square metres in kiln dried spotted gum. The rotten posts were replaced, the screen was reclad and the stairs were rebuilt, and the existing cable balustrade stayed. It's solid underfoot again and ready for summer.
